As of April 2020, I am a Bioinformatics Scientist at NIH in Research Triangle Park in Durham, NC. I work with multiple neurobiology laboratories, helping to create pipelines to analyze neuronal and behavioral data (my two favorite types of data!). Previously, I worked with Eva Naumann and Roarke Horstmeyer in the Computational Optics Lab to develop a hardware and software platform for a multi-camera array microscope (sort of the hardware version of the compound eye of the fly).
I enjoy working with Python, especially OpenCV and the machine learning libraries: right now my favorite library is imgaug. I am starting to think about switching over to pytorch, but thus far I've been a tensorflow kind of guy.
